• 1865 – O.A. Bowen purchased Rivoli from Robert Adger. Bowen was married to Adger's daughter Clarrisa. The Bowens had previously lived at Ashtabula Plantation, which had also been owned by Robert Adger (Pendleton Historic Foundation).
